Personal Statement
I started off as a kinesiology major because of my love of sports and dream to play professional sports. After my study abroad experience I returned to the U.S with a new perspective on life my major followed. I respected Japanese for their punctuality, and work ethic and decided that these qualities are something I wanted to acquire.
Since I have studied at CSUMB, my experience in and out of class has been very colorful. World language and cultures department strongly implements the new 21st century team work, and the significance of global competence has been challenging experience especially because it has changed so suddenly when. Teamwork is an important aspect of working in society and if you are Japanese Major you will be forced to work with your peers which is also probably a significant part of graduate school as the topics you study will probably need more than one brain.
Before learning about global competence I couldn’t understand why I had to learn about culture, and the significance of teaching the youth at my service learning about origami, or the islands that make up Japan. Although I don't completely agree with all the ideals it has challenged me to look at life and my future career from a different perspective.
In the future I would my end goal is to have multiple streams of income and be able to work from wherever I am in the world. In the earlier part of my career I have interest in education, trading, investing and the Japanese company lifestyle.
