Reflective Narrative:
Japanese language and communication came the most naturally to me especially in regards to the three modes: interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational. I struggled a bit when it came to cultural understandings because Japanese culture norms are so different in comparison to the English cultural norms. My two favorite classes were JAPN 380, and JAPN 300. These two classes especially challenged me to go out of my comfort zone and not avoid using the simple easy Japanese grammar, and vocabulary that I learned in beginner and intermediate classes.
